Sustainability

Mobility

Transportation and deliveries are always bundled and organized with a focus on efficiency and the environment. Bicycle allowances are provided for staff to encourage cycling to work, instead of using the car.

 

Since 2022, we have purchased 6 Hybrid vehicles with the intention of systematically changing the entire fleet and moving towards sustainable vehicles including the purchase of an electric charging station for the aforementioned vehicles ( also available for vehicles from the surrounding area outside working hours).

 

From 2024 onwards, we aim for further continuation of electrification of our vehicle fleet, to improve further reducing of our CO2 emissions.

Tcps fleet

Environment

We are a refrigeration certified company (Ref: KOEL/AIB/B_144) and therefore strictly adhere to the legislation regarding the handling of refrigerants from our installations.

 

Since 2020, we have started with the creation of a bio-meadow with the aim of attracting and supporting insects such as bees and butterflies. Furthermore, we have modified our office surrounding landscaping by mainly using native plants in order to preserve natural vegetation.

 

During the renovation of the driveway and parking area, water drainage was taken into account by choosing water-permeable pavement.

 

Separation of the office area and the surrounding forest by a hedge, as native hawthorn, ensures that the existing wildlife remains shielded from the domain.

Recycling

We recycle waste wood, which is freely available for various youth movements, based around the TCPS office area, to support them in their activities.

 

We keep a strong policy when it comes to recycling of various other items such as paper, cardboard, plastics, oil, refrigerants,... 

 

Since 2022, Archiplan (a company under the same Fophacon holding as TCPS) processes the TCPS  wooden pallets into R-ECO outdoor furniture. In this way we contribute to the circular industry

Personnel

Every employee has the opportunity to develop him/herself by following various tailor-made training courses (both internal and external) , as documented in an annual personal development plan.

 

Safety training is provided on a regular basis, like first aid training, forklift training, VCA training for all technicians & project managers, ergonomics training etc...

New TCPS offices

In 2024 , TCPS nv re-located to a completely renovated TCPS building in Aarschot

This building is ready for the 21st century and will be equipped with:

  • an asbestos-free, 16cm insulated sustainable roof

  • solar panels with battery

  • heat pumps

  • charging stations for electrical cars

  • a reduced heating policy by lowering the temperature setpoint by 1 to 2 degrees to consume less energy

  • a separation of polluted water / rainwater and a re-usage of the rainwater for sanitary installations

  • parking spaces with water-permeable pavement
